Company Overview: Founded in 1953 by Delfus Chaput, Del’s Stucco began by plastering interiors in St. Adolphe, Manitoba. After pivoting to doing only exterior projects, the company’s name changed to Del’s Exteriors and it began to thrive! More than 70 years later, Del’s Exteriors holds the unique distinction of being Manitoba’s largest and longest-running stucco company — offering stucco, stone, siding, painting, and roofing services. With 12 experienced crews (between 70-80 employees), each crew is an expert in their own trade, and many have been with us for more than a decade.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Framer with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should be adept in both wood and steel stud framing and possess the ability to perform restoration repairs or rebuilds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and install wooden and steel stud framing as per architectural plans and specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, steel, and other materials for the construction of walls, floors, roofs, and other structural elements.
• Install windows, doors, and other framing components.
• Ensure the structural integrity and accuracy of the framework.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and framing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Work with other construction professionals, including electricians, plumbers, and carpenters, to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Follow building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in framing, including both wood and steel stud work.
• Experienced with construction methods, materials, and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform heavy lifting and standing for long periods.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be available to work in Northern Manitoba.
